INTER.PLAN INC was founded in 1976 by Randolph Hansen, AIA. The firm was established to provide services in architecture, planning, interior design, computer-aided-design and modeling and research.

Randolph Hansen, AIA is the sole shareholder and serves as President. Hansen is personally involved in the design of every project and is the contact with the client. Hansen works closely with the client to achieve the client’s vision while working with established budgets and schedules.

INTER.PLAN INC has designed more than 1300 projects during the past forty-two years with a construction value of over two billion dollars.

The projects have been of a wide variety of building types including, educational facilities, performing arts centers, hospitals, specialized medical facilities, imaging centers, religious facilities, private club facilities, office buildings, medical office buildings and offices, automobile dealerships, animal hospitals, retail shopping centers and retail stores, industrial facilities, recreational facilities, parking structures, hotels, multi-family and single family residential projects and large custom residences.

Other services have included site planning and master planning for large and small scale projects. Interior design services have been provided for many projects. Construction management and/or contract administration has also been performed in conjunction with many projects.

Hansen has made numerous presentations to various regulatory agencies and serves as Chairman of the City of Palm Beach Gardens Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board.

Hansen is licensed as an architect in fourteen states and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Hansen is a LEED? Accredited Professional. Hansen is also a Certified General Contractor. This experience as both an architect and contractor provide insight into cost issues as designs are developed.

Hansen has also consulted on accessibility, human factors, safety and security issues.

Randolph Hansen, AIA is an active participant in professional organizations always seeking to better the profession of architecture. He has been awarded the AIA Palm Beach Gold Medal, the highest award the American Institute of Architects can present to an individual for outstanding contributions to the profession of architecture and the community.
